Spring Cleaning – Pine Essential Oil

In March we are featuring oils to use in Spring cleaning, or anytime cleaning 🙂 The first oil in our series is Pine Essential Oil.

PINE

(Pinus sylvestris)

Pine was first investigated by Hippocrates, the father of western medicine, for it’s benefits to the respiratory system.  In fact, one of  the most popular uses is for treating respiratory disorders such as coughings, colds, bronchitis and nasal decongestant.

Dr. Penoel and Dr. Franchomme have described pine oils antiseptic properties in their medical textbook.¹

It has been said that Pine Essential Oil is a good recommendation for any first aid kit!

Properties attributed to Pine:

  • hormone-like                                            Spring Cleaning with Pine
  • anti-diabetic
  • cortisone-like
  • sexual stimulant
  • hypertensive
  • anti-infectious
  • anti-fungal
  • antiseptic
  • anti-bacterial
