Orange Essential Oil (Citrus aurantium)
Plant origin: USA, South Africa, Italy and China
Orange Essential Oil is an adaptogen. This means it contains constituents that are calming and stimulating. Somehow, in the grand scheme of things, this oil knows what you need!
Other known benefits are anti-inflammatory, anti-tumoral, anti-coagulant, anti-depressant and to help with circulation.
- Appetite
- Indigestion
- Respiratory infection
- Tissue repair
- Wrinkles
- Helps create a feeling of happiness.
WARNING: Orange Essential Oil should NOT be applied to skin that will be exposed to sunlight or UV light 72 hours.
I always use a carrier oil when using this essential oil topically.
Some suggested companion oils are:
Cinnamon Bark, Cinnamon Leaf, Clove, Cypress, Frankincense, Geranium, Juniper, Lavender, Nutmeg, Rosewood, Other Citrus oils, Rose, and Ylang Ylang.
The companion oil you choose will be based on the need at the time.
