Patchouli
latin name = Pogostemon cablin
The essential oil is Steam distilled from flowers
Patchouli is anti-infectious, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, and used as a decongestant!
When I smell Patchouli essential oil, I think of the sixties and Hippies.
It was a very popular scent at that time, with a long history of being used as a perfume.
Know for a very strong earthy scent.

Commonly used for:
- skin and wrinkles
- insect repellent
- chapped skin
- digestive system
- itching
- dermatitis
- eczema
- hemorrhoids
- tissue regeneration
- curb appetite
- dandruff
- wounds
- depression/anxiety
- relaxation
Patchouli Essential Oil 10 mL
It mixes well with bergamot, clary sage, frankincense, geranium, ginger, lavender, lemongrass, myrrh, pine, rosewood, sandalwood, cinnamon, rose and orange.
Trivia:
Patchouli grows everywhere on the Seychelles Island and in the past was even considered a weed by the locals there.
Cautions:
It is known as a very safe oil. Only use while pregnant if under your doctors care, also it is not recommended to use it when you are nursing because it can pass into your breast milk.
