Like most cold pressed oils, it is a great degreaser! Also has fat dissolving characteristics.
For this reason, it is a great EO to use in the cleansing of oily skin.
It has been said to help with the following:
- jet lag
- eating disorders
- headaches and migraines
- drug withdrawal
- cleansing effect on the kidneys and lymphatic system and the vascular system
Grapefruit mixes well with the following oils:
- Roman Chamomile
- Juniper Berry
- Ylang Ylang
- Rosemary CT cinol
- and other citrus oils
One of my favorite ways to use grapefruit essential oil is in a sugar or salt scrub with Ylang Ylang mixed with it.
It is also great for lessening the appearance of cellulite.
Avoid using while pregnant or nursing unless under a doctors care. Because it can be photo-sensitizing, so do not go in direct sunlight for at least 24 hours.
