Grapefruit essential oil is cold pressed from the peels.
Known to grow great in California!
An interesting fact is that grapefruit is actually a hybrid between Citrus maxima and Citrus sinensis.
Its fragrance is clean, refreshing and uplifting.
Some properties of this EO: an antiseptic, disinfectant, antidepressant, diuretic, and detoxifying.
Grapefruit is a wonderful oil to use while doing yoga and meditation.
The psychological benefits of this essential oil are that it is an anti-depressant. Grapefruit is also emotionally uplifting.
It helps lighten your mood and is also a great stress buster.

Like most cold pressed oils, it is a great degreaser! Also has fat dissolving characteristics.
For this reason, it is a great EO to use in the cleansing of oily skin.
It has been said to help with the following:

One of my favorite ways to use grapefruit essential oil is in a sugar or salt scrub with Ylang Ylang mixed with it.
It is also great for lessening the appearance of cellulite.
Cautions:
Avoid using while pregnant or nursing unless under a doctors care. Because it can be photo-sensitizing, so do not go in direct sunlight for at least 24 hours.
